MAA is currently accepting applications for the position of Premise Distribution Administrator (IT Technical Support Supervisor) within the Office of Communications Systems at the Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI Marshall Airport).
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

Developing and administrating agency wide policy and overseeing operations.

Serving as the subject matter expert for developing procurement specifications.

Responsible for daily Construction, Management, and inspection of all MAA owned communication facilities.

Overseeing and Managing mission critical cable plant and infrastructure.

Responsible for the administration, contract management and supervision of contractor for the planning, engineering, deployment, maintenance, and administration of the Enhancement Secondary Public Safety Access point (PSAP) communications facility infrastructure.

Evaluating efficiency of operations while developing, revising, and recommending new policies, standards, and workflow procedures.

Troubleshooting complex ISP and OSP infrastructure problems (Fiber and copper), install, identify, and repair issues and problems.
Employees in this position are designated “Emergency Essential” in the event of airport emergencies, weather emergencies or irregularities and are subject to extended shifts and being on call during scheduled off hours, holidays and weekends.
This position is located at the BWI Marshall Airport in Anne Arundel County, MD.
Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Information Technology, Computer Science, Management Information Systems or other information technology related field to include course work in machine or assembler computer languages, and operating system and data communication technology for multipurpose, multitasking computers including a Building Industry Consulting Service International (BICSI) ITS Installer 2 certification.
Experience: Three years of experience maintaining and modifying operating systems for multipurpose, multitasking computers.
The ideal candidate will possess the following:

Building Industry Consulting Service International (BICSI) ITS Installer 2 and Copper Certification

Optical Fiber 2 Certification
Notes
1. Thirty credit hours from an accredited college or university in Computer Information Technology, Computer Science, Management Information Systems or other information technology related field to include course work in machine or assembler computer languages, and operating system and data communication technology for multipurpose, multitasking computers may be substituted for the required education.
2. One additional year of experience maintaining and modifying operating systems for multipurpose, multitasking computers may be substituted for the required education.
3. Experience operating multipurpose, multitasking computer systems; or scheduling, controlling input and output or maintaining a tape library to process data on multipurpose, multitasking computer systems; or converting data from project specifications by developing program code using third generation or other generally accepted computer programming languages; or designing, developing and maintaining communications networks may be substituted for high school on a year for year basis.
