Job Description
We’re looking for a dedicated and compassionate Behavior Interventionist (BI)/Behavioral Technician (BT) to join our clinical team. Behavioral Technicians (BT) are responsible for assisting Clinical Managers (BCBA) with treatment plans designed specifically toward strengthening or reducing clients behaviors that may be impairing their daily life activities.
A Behavioral Technicians responsibilities include helping clients who struggle with a variety of behavioral and learning challenges. Under the direction of the Clinical Manager (BCBA) and Program Supervisor (PS) the ideal candidate will help children and preteens with autism and other developmental disabilities increase positive behaviors and decrease behaviors that affect learning or that are a risk to safety. We are looking for someone who can help our clients engage in appropriate communication and play, while increasing individualized skills and reducing problem behavior.
Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 direct service with children and preteens in the home
· Follow individualized client programs
- Collect and record data on client’s behavior each session
· Communicate effectively with Clinical Manager and Program Supervisor
- Provide crisis intervention as needed
- Provide a safe and supportive environment for clients and their family
- Commit to a regular schedule
· Maintain client confidentiality
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Education, Experience & Training Equivalent to:
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Relevant experience preferred (Paraprofessional, Caregiver, Babysitter, Daycare Worker, Case Manager)
- RBT Certification preferred
- Ability to utilize an iPhone, iPad, and laptop
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
- Ability to obtain and maintain criminal record clearance through the Department of Justice. The People & Performance department must analyze DOJ/FBI live scan reports in accordance with applicable federal, State, and local laws as well as fitness for position.
- Must have valid California Driver's License and maintain a clean driving record.
- Must pass health screenings, obtain vaccinations, and clear TB testing based on company policies.
- Ability to obtain and maintain CPR certificate.
- Ability to obtain and maintain clearance through the Office of Inspector General.
- Ability to obtain RBT Certification within 90 days of hire and maintain active certification status.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a National Provider Identifier (NPI).
- Covid-19 vaccination and subsequent boosters required.
