The UCA Foundation Project Specialist is responsible for processing all financial journal entries; reporting of gifts and accounts payable; tax processing and reporting; and weekly, monthly, and annual report processing. This position is governed by state and federal laws and institution policy.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
The UCA Foundation Project Specialist is responsible for entry of weekly disbursements, contribution weekly reports/payroll deduction monthly report, review and process checks/EFTs weekly, prepare monthly reports for credit cards statements matching all transactions, update in FE allocation management with any new funds or changes in current funds quarterly, prepare and file State Use Tax information, process yearly 1099 statements and reports, audit log of deposits, disbursements, journal entries, & batches for annual audit, assist with fiscal year-end audit preparation, and other duties as assigned.

Ability to conduct research, perform quantitative quality assurance reviews, and prepare reports.

Required Education and/or Experience
The formal education equivalent of a bachelor’s degree in general business, finance, or a related field. Additional requirements determined by the agency for recruiting purposes require review and approval by the Office of Personnel Management. OTHER JOB-RELATED EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE MAY BE SUBSTITUTED FOR ALL OR PART OF THESE BASIC REQUIREMENTS, EXCEPT FOR CERTIFICATION OR LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS, UPON APPROVAL OF THE QUALIFICATIONS REVIEW COMMITTEE.
Preferred Education and/or Experience
A bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, or related field of study.
Three (3) years professional level experience in a business office environment.
Basic accounting and MS Office skills. Experience with fund raising software, specifically Blackbaud products.
