Position Overview
The Intelligence Manager of the Business Intelligence & Insight group is responsible for providing industry intelligence, insight and benchmarking to help member agencies make better business decisions. Reporting to the SVP of BI&I, this role will work closely with subject matter experts across the 4A’s and is responsible for leading all aspects of the scoping, design, analysis, packaging and presentation of 4A’s industry surveys. Additionally, this role identifies opportunities to evolve 4A’s surveys to ensure ease of participation, best-in-class presentation of data and maximum value for members.
Position Responsibilities
Manage the end-to-end delivery of survey projects, including:

Lead the survey process by actively partnering with senior business leads to identify, size, scope and create timelines of survey projects for each fiscal year

Be the survey subject matter expert and guide other stakeholders on design and implementation; influence when appropriate

Ability to translate stakeholders’ needs into appropriate approach and/or framework to deliver the desired outcome in a timely manner

Work on external client assignments (e.g. other trade associations) in developing, designing, analyzing, recommending and creating reports for their memberships

Own the internal survey process by managing survey timelines, clearly communicating project statuses, scope and/or timeline changes to key stakeholders

Assist in collecting timely input from project collaborators, along with any vital approvals, to progress the project timelines

Responsible for extracting data from internal data sets to curate survey participant lists

Manage data collection including the review and quality control of data

Ability to structure and perform detailed analysis on large datasets and produce survey reports

Consult with business partners and third parties to stay current on new methodologies for qualitative and quantitative research methods and make recommendations for 4A’s as appropriate

Partner with 4A’s Data Analyst to collect and synthesize qualitative and quantitative data from different sources (e.g., primary research (member data), third-party research) to test hypotheses, develop and report on findings

Co-lead with Data Analyst, analysis of year over year survey tracking along with other reoccurring reporting needs
- Timely response to member survey needs (assist in survey access/ purchases) and questions on findings

Provide ad-hoc project support to the BI&I team, conducting data analysis and report building or development on key initiatives
What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):

3-4 years of related experience
- Knowledge of qualitative and quantitative research methodologies

Experience with survey platforms and survey programming

Exceptional analytical and problem-solving and critical thinking skills

Proficient in Microsoft Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, charts and graphs required) and Microsoft Office (Word and PowerPoint)

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Strong interpersonal skills with focus on collaboration

Highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities and projects

Ability to operate autonomously as well as collaborate with colleagues of various levels within the organization
Successful candidates will be multi-dimensional ‘rising-stars’ who are able to employ complex problem solving skills, and are able to communicate these succinctly to team stakeholder audiences.
