CED's Management Training Program is a multi-phase training program for those with a desire to lead people and influence the direction of a business. We offer paid training over 2-2.5 years and prepare our candidates to take over management of a profit center location in Iowa at the end of their training. Great opportunity for recent college graduates as well as someone looking to make a change and start out in a new industry.
Management Trainee Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree Required
- Candidates need to be local or planning to relocate to Cedar Rapids, IA with additional relocation in Iowa (or Nebraska if desired) during the program
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Ability to take direction and feedback
- Sales ability/experience is strongly preferred
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
Management Trainee Responsibilities / Duties:
- 2-2.5 years paid training provided
- Each trainee’s development is a combination of mentoring primarily via on-the-job training, supplemented by classroom and home-study training.
- By taking time with the training program and putting candidates through all positions within a profit center, they are well prepared to take over management of a profit center at the end of their training.
- Individuals should be self-motivated, sales oriented, geographically flexible, and possess an entrepreneurial spirit.
- Trainees will also travel to various vendor training across the US as well as attend classroom sessions at our Service Center in TX. (2-3 trips per year, approximately)

We are looking for people who aren't afraid of a fast paced and sales-oriented environment and have a desire to grow one of our business locations. Individuals should be self-motivated, sales oriented, geographically flexible, and possess an entrepreneurial spirit. A 4 year degree is required--business related strongly preferred.
Starting location: Cedar Rapids, IA. Relocation required in Iowa (or Nebraska if desired) after the 1st year with employer provided moving package. This position will not be in Cedar Rapids long term.
