Job Summary
Encino Energy is looking to hire a Corporate Development Engineer, reporting to the VP of Corporate Engineering and supporting the Sr. Director of Finance & Business Development. The position will be responsible for maximizing the value of the company by supporting strategic initiatives critical to the company’s continued success. This position will be expected to work independently, provide technical guidance to the rest of the organization, promote innovative methods to quantify and maximize the company’s value.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Actively participate in technical evaluations and support of Corporate Engineering strategic projects, including:
o Quantifying inventory life and quality
o Delineation planning and forecasting
o Generating development sensitivities
o Evaluating / articulating NAV impact of strategic decisions

Support Finance & Business Development team in all activities related to acquisitions and divestitures
o Compile, organize, manage, and analyze sell side databaseso Perform commercial and technical analysis for model inputs including production forecasts, drill and complete capex, LOE, marketing and midstream, etc.o Conduct due diligence of the seller’s data (i.e. LOS, capital programs, reserve base, etc.)o Integrate pressure transient analysis, material balance, decline curve, and volumetric analyses into reservoir evaluationo Build reservoir (stochastic or deterministic) models when appropriate to validate/improve predictions and characterize uncertaintyo Run multiple scenarios and sensitivities efficiently and compile different assumptions in each scenario

Support investor relations efforts to describe recent and historical well result trends, including:
o Quantifying and articulating impact of various well design optimization efforts
o Compiling and communicating descriptive performance statistics (single well returns, IP30, 12 month cumulative production, EUR, decline characteristics, etc.)
o Evaluating corporate decline rates and associated maintenance capital levels
o Benchmarking company results against other plays
o Evaluate third party analysis of company assets and work with third parties to better inform future analysis

Use engineering principles (pressure normalized rate, numerical modeling, RTA and others) to develop deep understanding of basin-wide well performance

Research SEC filings, investor reports, and pull relevant information and data in order to support insightful and well-informed recommendations and generate valuable actions

Create tools to streamline processes, increase efficiency, and decrease turnaround time

Assist with presentation preparation to the executive team
Requirements:
Qualifications
-
Minimum 5 years prior experience in oil and gas production engineering, reservoir engineering, or other engineering disciplines (including minimum 2 years prior experience evaluating upstream oil and gas acquisitions)

Experience in evaluation and development of unconventional reservoirs, preferably experience working with condensate reservoirs

Process oriented - able to derive solutions for increased process efficiency, decreased turnaround time for outputs

Power-User on the following applications in ARIES, Spotfire, Excel

Familiarity with Enverus Prism preferred

Proficient with SQL / MS Access and database management

Experience managing and analyzing large amounts of data efficiently

Ability to present complex projects and analysis in a concise and structured manner

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with small multi-disciplinary team settings

Ability to handle multiple priorities concurrently and several projects

Candidate must have strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills and ability to work cross functionally to achieve challenging goals

Education
Bachelor degree in Petroleum engineering required

This job is predominately located in a professional office environment
Work Schedule
This is a full-time position. Encino has a compressed work week with a “4/9/4” Work Schedule. Employees have the option to work four nine-hour days with the addition of four hours each Friday. Some flexibility in hours is allowed. The selected candidate is expected to work in the office three days a week (Monday – Wednesday) with the option to work remote two days a week.
