Our firm is currently partnering with our exclusive client to hire a Bilingual Assistant Program Director to support providing unaccompanied minors, ages 5-12, with a supportive, nurturing environment through transitional foster homes. This program is rooted in ensuring that service delivery is trauma informed, culturally appropriate, and tailored to the needs of each child while maintaining all program requirements of ORR.
Reporting to the Program Director the Assistant Program Director will oversee a foster care portfolio which includes transitional care staff, and affiliates/partners, and adhering to federal regulations and best practices.
Additional Responsibilities include:
- Direct Care Supervisors, Lead Case Manager, Foster Care Supervisor, Program Safety Support and other staff
- The Assistant Director will, among other duties, assist the Program Director in planning, developing, implementing, and monitoring the program to ensure compliance with contractual, federal, state, and local requirements and laws.
- Assists the Program Director in ensuring the objectives of our federal obligations and standards, in accordance with external and internal agreements.
- Ensure compliance with standards of funders, relevant laws and regulations by monitoring staff fulfillment of routine and additional assignments.
- Ensures appropriate coverage by working collaboratively to prepare weekly schedules.
- Review incident reports submitted and determine an appropriate response, managing time sensitive incidents.
- Coordinates staff trainings, team meetings, supervision, and promotes staff professional development
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in education, psychology, sociology or other relevant behavioral science plus 5 years of progressive employment experience with a social services or childcare agency or organization.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish; excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with refugees and unaccompanied immigrant children.
- Progressive managerial experience with increasing roles and responsibilities in supervision, program management, implementation and evaluation.
- Experience in program development, administration and budget oversight.
- Participate on an on-call rotating schedule, flexibility working on-call 24/7 to manage emergencies.

Pay: $95,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
