JOB RESPONSIBILITES:
- Support operations by undertaking appropriate preventative and general maintenance activities.
- Schedule maintenance activities associated with production and support equipment, quickly respond to any unplanned equipment failures and report on all maintenance tasks performed on a daily basis.
- Ensure the safe operation of all equipment and machinery within the facility, you will actively make recommendations to replace and refurbish components.
- Read diagrams and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.
- Assemble machinery and equipment prior to installation using hand and power tools and welding equipment.
- Perform other duties as required from time to time by your Manager/Supervisor.
Requirements:
- At least two years’ experience as maintenance technician or machinist, preferably in a food manufacturing plant (no students or fresh graduates please).
- Experience with 120+ volt repair/installation, welding and PLCs.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, close attention to detail, organized and proactive. Comfortable working alone or as part of a team and possess excellent interpersonal, communication and basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel skills.
- Follow and ensure the Company’s procedures regarding safety rules and regulations are followed throughout the plant.
- Must have own hand tools.
