### Job Summary:
We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Sampler to join our team. As a Sampler/Wastewater trainee, you will be responsible for Sampling water and wastewater facilities. Secondly, you will be learning how to operating and maintain wastewater treatment systems and equipment. Your role will involve ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and monitoring water quality. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong mechanical aptitude and a passion for environmental stewardship.
### Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor wastewater treatment systems, including pumps, valves, and distributed control systems
- Collect samples and perform routine laboratory tests to analyze water quality
- Adjust chemical dosages as necessary to maintain optimal treatment levels
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment and perform preventive maintenance tasks
- Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and perform repairs as needed
- Monitor and record data on system performance, including flow rates, pH levels, and chemical usage
- Ensure compliance with all environmental regulations and reporting requirements
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, test results, and equipment performance
### Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required;
- Previous experience working in a wastewater treatment facility or similar environment is highly desirable
- Strong mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions based on test results
- Proficiency in operating distributed control systems (DCS) is a plus
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record- You must be over 21 years of age.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and work in outdoor environments as needed
