Job Title: Assistant Project Manager
Job Description: Nova is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager to join our fast-growing team. The ideal candidate should possess excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills with exceptional attention to detail.
Pre-Construction Phase:
- Assist in project development, collection of permit drawings and materials and Procore setup.
- Attend kickoff meetings with architects and clients.
- Conduct pre-project meetings with subcontractors.
- Create Submittal Log for project materials.
- Assist with preparing mockup samples and shop drawings.
- Collaborate with Project Manager to understand plans and specifications.
- Participate in walkthroughs and provide feedback to estimators.
- Help develop project schedules and timelines.
- Assist in obtaining and managing project materials.
Construction Phase:
- Conduct regular job site inspections.
- Coordinate material and labor needs with the foreman.
- Follow up on project documentation.
- Assist Foreman with 2-week look-ahead schedules preparation.
- Coordinate with subcontractors on work progress.
- Check work quality of subcontractors and workers.
- Assist in preparing Change Orders.
- Submit and monitor RFIs.
- Oversee job site safety procedures.
- Ensure permits and safety documents are updated.
- Review and approve subcontractor invoices promptly.
- Participate in project manager and foreman meetings.
- Track project and material deliveries.
- Manage and update project schedules.
- Document project communications and decisions.
Closeout Phase:
- Maintain project Warranty Log.
- Prepare “as-built” drawings.
- Complete all punch list items.
- Gather closeout documents and as-built quantities.
- Document final inspections.
- Prepare project closeout reports.
- Archive project documentation appropriately.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of relevant experience in project management or construction.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools is a plus.
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to review work thoroughly.
- Familiarity with Procore or similar project management software is a plus.
- Ability to read floor plans, drawings, and specifications.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Licenses a plus

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $83,200.00 - $96,200.00 per year
