Job Title: Client Services Associate/International Shipping Associate
Reports To: The Client Services Associate/International Shipping Associate will report to the Client Services Supervisor, Client Services Manager, or equivalent leadership.
Job Overview:
- 3 years of experience with international shipping
- Knowledge of international shipping and trade compliance regulations. Must have fluency with the following:
o Web-based shipping software of all major carriers: FedEx, UPS, DHL, etc.
o Shipping documentation: commercial invoices and packing lists
o Trade compliance regulations and codes: ECCNs, Schedule B/HTS, License Codes,
Denied Party Screening and EEI Filings
- Proficiency in the following technical areas: scheduling or calendar software, logistics tracking software (experience with BearTracks is a plus), database software, Numbers or Excel, and Pages or Word
- Superior communication skills, with an ability to summarize and share relevant information in a clear and easy-to-understand way, across all levels
- Acts with a sense of urgency and quickly respond to emails, texts, and phone calls to provide a high standard of service to customers and colleagues
- Must be a proactive team player and problem solver who digs into the details to make positive contributions
- Works cross functionally across all levels and has a sense of curiosity
- Innovative, with a desire for continual process improvement
- Exceptional attention to detail

- Effective organizational, interpersonal and time management skills
- Works well under pressure and maintains self-composure and integrity
- Exercises good judgement
- Ability to perform the following types of physical activities: lift up to 35 pounds, push/pull to move equipment, bend/stoop/squat/kneel, and reach above shoulders
- Must be comfortable working in a warehouse environment
Physical Demands:
- Approximately 50% of the time this position requires the below physical demands.
- Fine and/or gross motor skills, including the ability to grasp, lift and/or carry or otherwise move packages on a standard wheeled cart with a load capacity of 60 lbs.
- Ability to walk, bend, kneel, stand, and/or sit for an extended period of time.
- Manual dexterity required for operating office machinery (phone, copy machines, binding equipment, etc.).
- Ability to lift or move 40 lbs. or greater frequently.
