Tradeweb has opened an exciting new role to head up M&A accounting integrations, with the opportunity to combine interesting business acquisition and investment activity, the accounting integration of those acquisitions and supervising the day-to-day operational accounting of newly acquired businesses during the integration period. This role will supervise and review the work of consultants performing the accounting due diligence process for potential acquisition targets, assist in the evaluation of complex technical accounting issues relating to business combinations, coordinate the purchase price allocation process for completed acquisitions, assist in the preparation of 10K/Q disclosures surrounding acquisitions, serve as the primary accounting representative responsible for the successful accounting integration of new acquisitions, in addition to reviewing monthly close activity for newly acquired businesses during the integration period. This is a hands-on role and the ideal candidate should be excited to be in the details of exciting new investment opportunities.
This role will also be available to assist in other accounting/finance transformation efforts in between acquisitions and other ad-hoc accounting/finance projects as needed.
Job Responsibilities
- Responsible for oversight of planning, coordinating and managing the accounting due diligence process for potential acquisitions or investments, working with and reviewing the results of diligence performed by 3rd party consultants.
- Responsible for coordinating cross-functionally with corporate development, corporate accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, treasury, tax and business finance groups for planning and managing the operational finance and accounting integration of future and recently completed acquisitions.
- Review draft purchase and sale agreements, closing statements, flow of funds and prepare or review post-close opening balance sheet journal entries
- Prepare or review monthly close journal entries and other close activities to ensure the appropriate consolidation of post-acquisition activity during the integration period.
- Manage the preparation of the purchase price allocation in accordance with ASC 805.
- Assist in the analysis and documentation of a wide range of complex technical accounting issues including acquisitions/purchase price allocations, investments, revenue recognition, investments, financing transactions, stock-based compensation and executive compensation arrangements, etc.
- Ownership over key SOX controls relating to the integration and reporting of recent acquisitions.
- Key contributor to the Company’s broader finance transformation goals and initiatives, aimed at streamlining/automating all process from record to report and continuous enhancements to the internal control environment
- Actively participate in other special ad hoc projects as they arise
Qualifications
- 6+ years of total accounting experience, with a minimum of 4 years in public accounting (Big Four preferred)
- CPA required
- Experience in performing accounting due diligence for acquisitions
- Experience working in accounting research and documentation and performing ASC 805 purchase price allocations
- Understanding of monthly operational accounting close activities
- Expert knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
- Must be detail oriented, with great project management skills and willing to roll-up your sleeves
- Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential
- Oracle, FCCS and Alteryx experience a +

- The current pay range for this role if performed in the city of New York is currently $140,000 to $300,000 per year, based on a regular, full-time schedule. The amount of pay offered will be determined by a number of factors, including but not limited to qualifications, market data, geographic location, and internal guidelines.
