Electrician
Supervisor: Maintenance Manager
Education requirements: High School graduate, Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing environment, Need State of Michigan Master or Journeyman Electrician license. Must have completed 4 years and 8000 hours in an apprenticeship program either through an employer or secondary education. Must also complete any additional training mandated by the federal or state government to maintain the license.
Work Environment: Indoor/Outdoor, noise in plant, moving objects, hot objects.
Process generates heated material. Must wear safety glasses, steel toe boots, ear plugs, and other PPE as required.
Productivity Rate: Employee is paid hourly rate plus participation in a gainsharing program based on pounds per man/hour.
Job Tasks: Employee shall assist with machine repair. Must have hands on experience and knowledge of Allen Bradley PLC-2 controllers and programming. Must know how to read and interpret a ladder diagram. Working knowledge of 3-Phase 480 volt power.
Ability to troubleshoot relay logic and PLC's. Working knowledge of motor controls and single and three phase motors. Understanding of electronics. Ability to trouble shoot pneumatics and hydraulics. Must have a good understanding of the national electrical code book. Ability to design and build basic control circuits. Must be an independent worker with limited or minimal supervision requirements. Must maintain a positive working relationship with outside vendors.
Major responsibility is to perform any and all maintenance and electrical repairs necessary to keep the plant running as efficiently as possible as directed by supervision.
Must comply with all lock out and safety procedures on all equipment.
Must comply with all ISO procedures.
Estimated Physical Demands of Job: Lift up to 100 pounds
Extensive Physical demands of job: repetitive use of both hands, standing majority of time. Walking to and from work station. Climbing up and on equipment, potentially crawling under equipment for electrical and millwright repair. Pushing/Pulling: required to use both hands in the performance of job. Vision Capabilities required.

Pay: From $29.55 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
