General Overview:
The Process Technician is responsible for machine startups, possible tooling changes/setups, and assuring that parts are made to quality standards. There will be troubleshooting of the individual machine and molding processes, some maintenance and minor repairs of the molds, possible setup of tooling/molds base on changes as applicable to insure a safe, clean, and efficient production environment, resulting in finished products that adheres to the quality standards of EcoWater Ripley, MS. The Process Technician is seen as the main troubleshooter of press problems on the shift with an understanding of all facets of the operation of molding and the capabilities to lead and train other employees in the functions of their respective positions in molding.
Overall Responsibilities:

- Starts up jobs on the press and instructs the operator in the methods and procedures required for quality-oriented operation and production.
- Must be able to work alone and in groups and use time wisely.
- May be required to perform mold installations and setup to assure the machines can start up on time to keep production flowing.
- When not performing the regular process tech role, may be required to relieve the operator for breaks, and or if the team is shorthanded.
- Maintains the equipment in good daily operating condition by performing minor PM and machine inspections.
- Assists the Process Engineer and or supervisor in developing and preparing standard set-up procedures and machine settings for the operation.
- Sets up the injection molding machine, plus additional support equipment for the operation, and makes critical adjustments for a quality molded product.
- Changes over molds in injection molding machines and material hoppers.
- Maintains machine conditions and makes adjustments to assure quality operations are maintained.
- Sets up and operates other equipment in the area for preparing or finishing injection molded products.
- May assist the Material Handler in the mixing and prep of needed materials to assure that materials are ready and on the press at startup.
- Responsible for maintaining accurate and timely data recorded in process books.
- Completes statistical process control charts and related quality documentation.
- Completes visual inspection of parts for quality requirements according to work instructions.
- Responsible for tracking parts produced, scrap, and regrind during setup and startup of the jobs.
- Notifies the supervisor of any faulty equipment or mechanical conditions, keeps the work area clean and orderly; and maintains equipment and tools in good working order to 5S standards.
- Required to train other Process Techs, operators, and support personnel as needed.

Work Environment:

- May be exposed to plastic resin odors as a byproduct of the manufacturing process.
- Routinely exposed to machine oils and lubricants commonly found in injection molding and equipment.
- The employee is required to wear personal protective equipment and follow all safety guidelines and standards.
- Some exposure to shop elements such as noise, dust, fumes, odors, and heat or cold.
Physical Demands/Work Environment:
This position will need to stand, bend, squat, kneel, crawl & reach. This position requires consistent use of arm(s), wrist, elbow with repeated squeezing and grasping. Will be required to lift up to 40 pounds.

Pay: $21.00 - $29.00 per hour
