Electrical Engineer

The Electrical Engineer maintains and supports our products and systems. You will work across a variety of groups directly involved with implementation and testing. You must identify problems, provide resolutions to problems, and communicate concerns or challenges. You will also participate in the testing and certification of designs to ensure compliance with standards and design specifications.
You Will:
- Develop knowledge of electronic hardware trends through component catalog and other forms of research.
- Develop bills of material.
- Help with sourcing, and purchasing technologies needed to develop products and improve manufacturing.
- Ensure that the highest quality products are developed to meet design criteria.
- Coordinate work activity with external factories and contractors to build relationships.
- Coordinate engineering activities with other other departments to meet product development or improvement schedules.
- Develop electrical schematics for all products.
- Participate in testing and certification of electrical/electronic designs to ensure compliance with relevant standards and design specifications.
- Use testing methods and failure analysis techniques to determine the technical implications of new technologies.
- Develop new electrical/electronic systems including board design, wiring diagrams, assembly of prototypes, and programming.
- Collaborate and support mechanical engineers and new-product-development departments to complete prototypes and full designs.
- Develop new tools for the test and evaluation of electronic systems.
You Have:
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from ABET accredited engineering program.
- 2+ years electrical engineering experience
- Authorization to work in the United States on a full-time basis is required; employer sponsorship for employment-based visa status is not available for this position.
- Experience with PCB design layout and development using Eagle CAD (Preferred), Altium or Mentor Graphics.
- Experience programming (C, C++), implementation, and debugging of firmware on micro-controllers/micro-compressors
- Experience in NI LabView & Multism, SPICE or equivalent, circuit design, automation and testing
- Experience with Bluetooth, BLE, Wi-Fi peripheral development and integration, wireless firmware deployment
- Experience with Solid Works (or similar) required.
- Experience with common serial protocols (I2C, SPI, UART, USART)
- Basic knowledge of AC/DC and DC/DC converters
- Background in firmware/software automation, design and implementation.
- Can design test methods to confirm systems and components capabilities while documenting accurate reports and data compellation regarding existing and potential electrical engineering studies.
- Communicate across verbal and written applications.
- Valid driver's license and insurable driving record.
- Occasional domestic and international travel may be required.
- Obtain a valid US passport and necessary work visas.
- This is not a remote position.
