Job Summary
We are seeking a knowledgeable
Senior Accountant & Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will document the company’s financial transactions and prepare financial statements. You will analyze our financial strengths and weaknesses, conduct business studies, identify trends, consolidate information into understandable reports, and make recommendations. You will also set financial goals for various departments, prepare sales forecasts, implement new financial plans and policies, and work with ownership to ensure the company is in excellent financial health. Ultimately, your goal is to ensure the company’s financial well-being. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with a deep understanding of corporate finances, detail-oriented, highly organized, and has experience working on large-scale company finances and accounts, has excellent analytical skills, and has the ability to step back from a single department and see the larger company-wide picture.
Responsibilities
- Enter financial data and transactions
- Analyze budgets and other financial information
- Reconcile bank statements & Prepare financial reports
- Verify the accuracy of transactions that have been entered
- Process accounts payables
- Evaluate, track, and report on company performance and goals
- Create and implement short and long-term business and investment strategies
- Work closely with every department to create financial goals, budgets, and plans that align with the overall company budgets and finances
- Create reports based on the financial health of the company, and present these reports to stakeholders and other management
- Forecast sales and make financial projections
- Oversee financial compliance of the company as a whole
Qualifications
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or a related field
- Previous experience as a Senior accountant, Senior Analyst, or similar position
- Deep understanding of corporate finance
- Good with spreadsheets, experienced in Microsoft Excel, QuickBooks, and basic accounting systems
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills
- Excellent attention to detail, time management, and communication skills
- Understanding of financial forecasting and diagnosis, corporate finance, and information analysis
- Ability to provide reliable, data-based financial advice
- Ability to explain complex financial information in simple terms
