Job Summary

As an HR Generalist, you will provide broad knowledge of human resources disciplines and functions while you coordinate recruitment and onboarding. You will be an essential contributor to a dynamic and growing team. The ideal candidate will be a proactive and knowledgeable professional with extensive experience in talent acquisition, employee onboarding, employee relations, compliance, benefit & leave administration and HR project management. This role requires a strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to ensure the smooth execution of HR services and support for our rapidly growing organization. Job Responsibilities (include, but are not limited to):
Talent Acquisition
- Job Posting - Internal & External Job Boards, social media, and other creative ways to attract talent.
- Collaborate with hiring managers to create compliant job descriptions and job board postings.
- Conduct virtual prescreening interviews.
- Schedule and coordinate interviews for hiring managers and candidates.
- Designing and implementing creative retention initiates to include but not limited to, staff appreciation, and employee recognition.
Employee Onboarding
- Full onboarding procedures from offer letter to start date.
- Run background and credit check screenings.
- Conduct a New Hire Orientation presentation (payroll, employee benefits, and review of company specific policies).
Employee Benefits
- Acts as a subject matter expert in the management of benefit documents, workflows, and employee inquiries as it relates to employee benefits, including group health plans, ancillary plans, paid days off, and retirement options.
- Works closely with employees daily to answer benefits questions regarding the insurance plans, how to enroll, document upload assistance and qualifying events.
- Responsible for supporting the annual open enrollment efforts; helps with companywide communications and overall tracking efforts.
HR Compliance
- Monitor requirements and laws for States with employees and when new employees join the company in a new state.
- Ensure compliance with both internal policies and applicable state and federal regulations and laws.
- Complete monthly, quarterly and annual compliance requirements such as worker's compensation audits, Bureau of Labor Statistics data reporting, US Census, EEOC reporting, ACA and more.
Employee Relations/Performance Management
- Serve as a primary point of contact for employee inquiries, ensuring timely and accurate resolution of issues
- Collaborate with department managers in administering performance feedback.
Leave Administration (FMLA, PFL, STD. LTD, & other leaves of absence)
- Working knowledge of various types of leave (FMLA, PFL, ADA, etc.), the required communications surrounding leaves, and can work with employees and management to discuss leave options.
- Ensures compliance with HIPAA, maintaining employee privacy where appropriate, including confidentiality, protection of sensitive information and I9 compliance.
Experience/Skills
- 5+ years of experience in an HR Generalist role.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively.
- Proficiency with Human Resources Information Systems required.
- Experience with Paylocity’s HRIS a big plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook and able to master new technologies quickly.
- Expertise with multiple state laws required.
- In-depth knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong time management and organizational skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
Education
- College degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field required.
- SHRM-CP or PHR certification preferred.
