Our client, a leading provider of towing services in the US, is looking for a Port Engineer to join their team. In this role, you will oversee all daily operations and preventative maintenance of the equipment on the vessels and engines. Working with the tug engineers, you will troubleshoot and repair any issues that arise while ensuring that daily duties and proper work techniques are being followed. We are looking for someone with the following:
- Maritime academy grad strongly preferred, will consider HS diploma with engineering experience on tugs
- Minimum of 2-3 years experience in the tug industry
- Shoreside experience as a Port Engineer/Technical Superintendent or experience in a shipyard as a Project Manager or Project Engineer a
- Able to communicate effectively, taking ownership for jobs/tasks to completion
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
- Familiar with ABS and USCG regulations
- Currently authorized to work in the US, no visa or sponsorship at this time. Must have or be able to obtain MMD and TWIC
