The Facility Service Manager oversees all facility service operations. Their primary duty involves effectively managing a team of equipment and building technicians, dispatchers, and administrative support personnel. This role is pivotal in the successful execution of the company's facility service operations and necessitates exceptional troubleshooting skills and proficient internal and external communication abilities. The Facility Service Manager will spearhead growth and transformation by emphasizing team development, process optimization, and innovation.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Leadership/Talent Development:
- Supervise and direct facility service personnel.
- Set expectations, motivate, and develop subordinate employees to attain the highest output within their capabilities and ensure job satisfaction.
- Ensure all team members are trained and have knowledge of the corporate goals, technical services, safety, and processes.
- Prepare annual performance reviews for direct reports.
Planning/Policy:
- Monitor the Facility Service team's performance through metrics, personal site visits, customer visits, and other tools.
- Works with senior management to plan for growth. Ensures the facility service department has appropriate resources, including staffing requirements, business systems development, equipment procurement, and facilities needed to meet organizational goals and the forecasted needs of the business.
Project Coordination and Field Support:
- Manage operations to ensure profitability, maintaining equipment inventories sufficient to handle planned sales volumes, developing proactive maintenance practices to ensure high equipment reliability and availability, and facilitating growth strategies to integrate new equipment options as they become available.
- Takes ownership and accountability of repair and maintenance of all assigned locations.
- Maintain a hands-on leadership style that ensures the integration and coordination of facility service operation efforts, including frequent personal involvement to ensure team members complete required tasks consistent with the customers’ requirements.
- Communicate effectively with internal support and customers, formally and informally, to address facility service issues so that a positive rapport is established, and valuable field inputs are communicated to appropriate individuals within the organization.
Customer Development:
- Develop strong facility service/office customer relationships.
- Provide technical and operational input.
Fleet Services:
- maintain unit and parts inventories, developing proactive maintenance practices to ensure high equipment reliability and availability. Continuously seek to improve unit performance by integrating best practices in new components and procedures.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in facilities management, business management, or a related field preferred or equivalent experience considered.
- A minimum of 5 years of managing facility service personnel.
- Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance best practices and facility management techniques.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and make informed decisions.
- A working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, e-mail) will be required. Corrigo Enterprise experience preferred.
- Filing reports in multiple systems like payroll, insurance, maintenance, and customer correspondence.
- Budgeting & P & L accountability.
- Excellent team building and leadership skills.
- A fundamental belief in the concepts of communication and teamwork.
PHYISCAL DEMANDS:
- Lifting 100 lbs.
- Carrying 50 lbs.
- Climbing (narrow stairs, ladders, etc.)
- Climb heights (over 7’)
ENVIRONMENTAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Ability and willingness to travel extensively within the greater Houston Metro area.
- Travel Required - between restaurant locations in multiple counties.
- Exposure to Seasonal Extremes (heat/cold) and wet or humid conditions.
