DecisionEd provides analytics to PK12 School Districts across the US. The data is consolidated from each district source and curated to support and guide the analyzing and reporting of information about students, teachers, curriculum, and schools from teachers through leadership teams.
We are expanding our outbound reach to prospective customers and are looking key skills in relationship building, managing the sales cycle, and district success.
The new sales team member will play a core role in achieving new customer acquisition and growth objectives. The candidate we seek will be a core part of the sales team. Day to day activity will primarily be focused on cultivating existing leads, generating new leads, setting up demonstrations, and closing sales. This will involve working closely with our senior sales staff and DecisionEd’s marketing team on campaigns.
Strong, proven customer relationship skills are a necessity, including experience in software platform sales, either in K-12 or with a data analytics product. This role will also involve some travel depending on territory and location.
Responsibilities
· Follow up with new prospects and advancing the sales cycle
· Generate new sales opportunities through outbound activities
· Build relationships within the K12 community
· Manage sales cycle from prospect through closure
· Support for writing Response for Proposals (RFPs)
· Maintain documentation to track status of leads in CRM
· Maintains current professional and technical knowledge for K12.
Requirements
· Must have proven sales experience for K12 Software or Analytics Software
· Excellent verbal and written communications skills
· Ability after training to effectively communicate the DecisionEd’s solution
· Strong listening and presentation skills
· Strong prospecting skills are required
· Able to work with a team to close deals
· Experience working with CRM platform
· Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
· BA/BS degree or equivalent preferred
