The purpose of this position is to provide program leadership for the Global Crisis Management program. This position works with leaders across multiple teams supporting Global Crisis Management, Enterprise Resilience, and response partners to align plans and processes to meet operational and regulatory requirements. This position oversees highly complex resilience activities under minimal supervision, including frequent interaction with executive leadership.
This position oversees and facilitates global crisis management response to disaster or other situations that disrupt business operations. This includes, responding to major events affecting our personnel, business operations, and/or site locations, with the goal of avoiding or minimizing damage to the organization's reputation and/or ability to operate.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead team and program support for Global Crisis Management operations
- Lead initiatives to increase integration, innovation and collaboration with internal / external partners. This includes leading cross-functional projects that support process improvements for the department
- Lead requirements gathering, and document requirements specifications
- Ensures projects adhere to strict budget and timeframe constraints
- Designs, develops, implements and tracks processes and systems enhancements which meet program objectives and business goals. Ensures measurement tools are in place to evaluate effectiveness of program outcomes
- Support acquisition integration work streams related to integration of crisis management and business continuity
- Leads the planning, development, and management of enterprise crisis management and crisis management team
- Plan and administers a comprehensive multi-year crisis training and exercise program for the enterprise
- Deliver crisis management training program by delivering virtual and in-person presentations to varying levels of leadership across the enterprise. Develop and facilitate presentations, seminars, and workshops
- Design, develop, deliver, and evaluate crisis management exercises. Coordinates remediation activities with crisis management team and partners to reduce risk to the organization
- Strengthen the culture of preparedness across the enterprise through innovative preparedness initiatives
- Influence key stakeholders, gain commitment and support from acquisitions senior leadership to adopt event management and business continuity standards
- Facilitate enterprise-wide crisis management response
- Acts as Global Crisis Management Leader, facilitating the response to global major events affecting our personnel, business operations, and/or site locations, with the goal of avoiding or minimizing damage and maintaining business’s ability to operate
- Coordinate effective and efficient response with executive and senior leadership from: site locations, business continuity plans, corporate functions, site emergency response and technology recovery teams
- Document and maintain standards and response protocols related to disasters and emergencies that disrupt UHG operations
- Provides 7x24 On-Call support through an established on-call rotation

Required Qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience in business continuity (BC), crisis management, and business resiliency
- 5+ years Microsoft Office Suite
- 4+ years of proven knowledge of crisis management, emergency preparedness/management, training and exercise methodologies and principles, including current industry standards
- 4+ years of experience developing and managing large complex programs and projects to success completion or maturity
- 4+ years leading crisis management situations
- 4+ years of experience interacting with individuals at all levels of the organizational with proven experience building solid relationships with senior leadership
- 4+ years of experience working across a large matrixed organizations
- 4+ years effectively developing and delivering training in a virtualized environment
- 4+ years of experience utilizing business continuity , risk management, and mass notification applications

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
