The Opportunity
Within Aeroflow, the Managed Care team is a part of the Corporate Development Department.
- The Corporate Development department collaborates closely with our health plan partners (insurance companies).
- The Managed Care team is within the Corporate Development department; we specifically focus on securing insurance contracts for our professional services division.
- Our team ensures that all providers (Registered Dietitians and Lactation Consultants) have the appropriate insurance agreements to offer services to our patients through telehealth.
Your Primary Responsibilities
We are currently seeking a Managed Care Coordinator to help us launch our Nutrition Services division. The Managed Care coordinator is typically responsible for
- Reviewing health plan reimbursement and coverage policies
- Managing the credentialing process for all contracted Registered Dietitians.
- Verify provider information with insurance companies and maintain data entry in CAQH.
- Preparing and manage credentialing applications
- Coordinate provider enrollments and terminations with Medicare, Medicaid, and Commercial insurances.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with health plans.
- Engage, educate, collaborate, and problem-solve with new and existing health plan partners
- Develop and streamline internal processes to enhance operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA standards and departmental policies.
- Provide timely communication to leadership regarding credentialing or contracting issues.
- Employee has an individual responsibility for knowledge of and compliance with laws, regulations, and policies.
- Compliance is a condition of employment and is considered an element of job performance
- Maintain HIPAA/patient confidentiality
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ideally, 2 years’ experience in credentialing or contracting, with knowledge of provider enrollment processes for Medicare, Medicaid, and Commercial insurances.
- If no experience in credentialing or contracting, at least 2 years in a professional role with similar qualifications is preferred
- Strong organizational, analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel) and Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Drive).
- You must be detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and thrive in a dynamic environment.
You might also have
- Billing knowledge and experience are a plus.
- Previous experience with Adobe Suite and Docusign is advantageous but not required.
