Under the direction of the Vice President of Manufacturing, the Estimating Manager is responsible for preparing estimates for all potential jobs, planning production requirements for all jobs and effectively communicating requirements and plans for all jobs, in accordance with company policies and procedures.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
· Coordinate daily activities in response to customer requests and quotations.
· Work with Production team to recommend efficient and suitable production methods that best utilize equipment and provide appropriate margins on products.
· Ensure the training of new and present employees in the processes and methods required to achieve the company's standards for quality, production, safety, and consistent with the company's principles.
· Contact vendors to acquire pricing for outside services.
· Assist in closed job analysis. Analyze standards in estimating system and update when necessary.
· Review and make necessary changes to previously established jobs as required for reprinting.
· Participate in pre-planning meetings.
· Complete and maintain estimates and all associated paperwork, records, documents, etc.
· Follow and comply with all safety and work rules and regulations. Maintain departmental housekeeping standards.
· Oversee entire on-line estimating system
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education
Requires an associate’s degree or two years of college and three to five years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

· Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
· Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Work involves light work in office setting. There is frequent need to stand, stoop, walk, sit, lift light objects (up to 20lbs) and perform other similar actions during the course of the workday.
