Overview:
We are seeking a sales assistant for a high-end decorative hardware manufacturer and showroom located in downtown New York City. This position will help our sales team interface with the leading interior designers and architects of the day, getting them the beautiful and functional hardware that they need for their projects through accurate specifications. We are looking for someone who is passionate about both design and function, and who enjoys both sales and problem-solving.
The position will entail the following along with other flexible tasks:
- Responding to quote requests received via email, meetings, and phone calls.
- Entering client information and quotes in a custom CRM.
- Quick learning to gain a familiarity of our product line and production methods.
- Assisting clients in showroom meetings to select hardware.
- Assisting sales with incoming leads, sample requests, answering phones, and other needs.
- Room for growth into our senior sales team.
Our ideal candidate has:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills to work with both clients and other departments.
- Ability to think three-dimensionally about functional products.
- Background experience or interest in a design-related field such as architecture or interior design.
