Job description: Sr. Web Content Writer
We’re looking for a seasoned web content writer to help us produce B2B enterprise-focused copy and content for business.adobe.com. In the enterprise space, Adobe is a leader in marketing, analytics, and customer experience technology, helping the world’s top businesses adapt to the ever-changing expectations of the market. Our work on business.adobe.com is crucial to telling that story to the world.
As a writer, you’ll work closely with UX designers, art directors, product managers, creative directors and more to produce and optimize user-centric content for Adobe.com. You will come to understand deeply our users’ needs at various stages of their interaction with us and seek to discover what we should communicate to them to help them meet their goals. You’ll then translate messaging and business goals into intensely user-focused pages.
The perfect candidate will have a mix of copywriting and content design or UX content strategy experience. They’ll understand the role marketing and brand-level communications play in the user experience, but appreciate that to our users, a little often goes a long way.
Responsibilities
- Participate in an Agile Scrum team to ideate, prioritize, and complete work
- Team up with UX designers to establish clear information architectures that lead to effective wireframes and content
- Become a subject-matter expert on any of a variety of topics related to the Adobe business
- Work with product and campaign marketers to understand and translate messaging into user-centric copy
- Work closely with art directors and designers to put your words in the perfect context on a page
- Participate in user testing and suggest possible options for optimization
- Care deeply about your words, but care even more about the ideas those words are communicating
- Quickly get up to speed with Adobe’s brand and writing guidelines
- Able to juggle multiple projects at once while also staying on top of email and Slack notifications
Key qualifications
- 10+ years’ experience writing for business
- A passion for good communication both in your writing and in the teams you work within
- An intense focus on users
- Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Sharepoint, and Outlook
Nice to haves
- Understanding of B2B customer journeys and buying cycles
- Experience communicating about enterprise software
- Experience with Agile and Scrum environments
- Experience with Adobe Workfront
- Experience working in advertising agencies, pharma, FinTech, and/or Tech sectors
