We are looking for an Operator C to operate safely and efficiently in the Refinery.

Working on a 12-hour shift schedule, alternating between 4 days of work and 4 days off, and reporting to the Supervisor – Refinery and working in a challenging and exciting environment you will be:

Operating an industrial processing plant as a part of a team.
-
Working as part of a team to maintain a safe, clean, and productive work environment.

Responding calmly and safely to operational issues and safety hazards as needed
-
Receiving instructions from Supervisors and other leaders related to operating or controlling assigned equipment in accordance with standard operating procedures.
What you’ll bring

A high school diploma or GED

Willingness and ability to learn new concepts and skills quickly.

Ability to work any scheduled rotating 12-hour shift.

Ability to lift 50 lbs to the waist.
It will also be beneficial if you have:

Intermediate computer skills

A high degree of attention to detail

Prior experience performing manual labor in an industrial environment.

Experience with LEAN principals in manufacturing/production setting

Where you’ll be working
Our Kennecott mine is a world-class, fully integrated copper mining operation, including a concentrator, smelter, and refinery, located just outside Salt Lake City, Utah, in the United States. We produce copper, precious metals including gold and silver, molybdenum, and sulfuric acid. Kennecott has been mining and processing minerals from the rich ore body of the Bingham Canyon Mine since 1903 and is one of the top producing mines in the world, comprising approximately 11 percent of U.S. annual copper production.
