RN IVF, Case manager is a liaison between the patient and the Reproductive endocrinologist. The RN triages all concerns and questions of patients.
Responsibilities
- Assisting with the coordination, case management, and treatment of our fertility patients. (IVF, IUI, FET, fertility preservation and more).
- Create and adjust calendars.
- Work with patients on timing of the treatment.
- Consent, order labs and complete all pre-cycle requirements and diagnostic testing.
- Work closely with billing and financial office to notify, support, and clear the patients financially.
- Order medication and request any clinical (medication) prior authorization.
- Providing patient/couple counseling for treatments, options, and consenting of the cycle.
- Teaching about procedures and how to administer injections.
- Provide support for self-administration of injectable medications for patients.
- Schedule and provide care for individuals who can’t self-administer injectable medications.
- Working closely with Scheduling treatment after initial and follow up visits.
- Coordinating patient treatment plans in conjunction with established clinical protocols
- Establishing a compassionate environment by providing emotional and psychological support to patients and patients' families.
- Required to work on rotating weekends and holidays.
- Telephone triage with patients regarding medication, treatment plans, and test results
- Assist with retrievals and transfers both pre and post op care.
- Responsible for accurate and timely communication of lab results to patients and order and instruct patient with medication plans per the MD orders.
- Responsible for constant communication between patients and physicians.
- Communicate physician orders and instructions.
- Maintain patient charting, testing and IVF flow sheets, make all charting accurate and clear.
Qualifications
- Valid, unrestricted and no prior history CA RN licensure in good standing
- 1 year IVF/OBGYN experience preferred.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to remain calm and respond appropriately in all stressful situations.
- Shifts are M-F 40-hour workweek with regular rotation for weekends coverage required, with one day off during the week.
- Knowledge of OSHA, FDA, and HIPPA compliance.
- Require BLS and CPR certification.
- Computer literate and keyboard skills.
- Professional and neat appearance.
- Skilled in charting and document nursing actions.
- Preferred qualifications:
- If you have prior experience working for a fertility clinic or OB/GYN practice, you will be highly considered for this opportunity.
- 1 year IVF/OBGYN experience preferred.
