Position Description:
The Business and Product Development Lead position provides a chance to participate in a small business that is a lead source of data and research to major financial news services and over 200 financial institutions worldwide. The person filling this position will start as a Research Associate, handling a variety of tasks and learning the ins and outs of the business. This will include handling ad-hoc client research requests, analyzing and validating data for clients, and writing financial news and analysis. Following a successful training period in this position, they will then take on the full scope of the Business and Product Development Lead position. Responsibilities of that position will include handling client requests and contracts, head up marketing strategies, and assist with product development and research projects. Ultimately, this role will focus on project management, sales, strategic planning, and process improvement.
This job provides a unique work experience in a cooperative environment and with a tight-knit team of researchers, technical staff, and data specialists. The purpose of the initial entry-level training is to ensure the individual has a full picture of the business and products before attempting to have high-level conversations with clients and potential customers. We are looking for someone who is eager to learn and with the potential to grow into this role. Our ideal candidate is responsible, intelligent, well-organized, and has some experience handling client relationships.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degreewith minimum GPA of 3.5
- Minimum two years of experience in a business or office setting
- Excellent interpersonal skills, proficient in verbal, writing, and editing skills
- Superb organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (including Excel) or comparable suite
- Ability to adapt to changing business needs and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Preferred:
- Understanding of financial markets
- Research experience and experience working with data
- Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to finding solutions
Salary:
