Position Description:
HRS Consulting, Inc. is hiring Consultants with Patient Fall Study expertise to support our work with the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) to provide best value healthcare and professional consulting services to the Veterans Health Administration (VHA). Qualified candidates will have experience conducting patient falls studies and assessments both inside and outside of VA hospitals and medical care facilities.

Duties/Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
Work as part of a blended government and contractor team supporting veterans health care programs and health care environments
Conduct fall studies and assessments to support patient care and safety inside and outside of hospital settings
Provide expertise and contribute toward project initiatives and evaluations supporting continuous improvement for veterans health
Support hybrid work schedule on-site in Washington, DC
- Business travel may be requested
Experience/Education Requirements (but are not limited to):
- U.S. Citizenship
- Eligibility to obtain Veterans Affairs (VA) suitability approval to access agency computer systems and facilities required to start work; current VA credentials preferred
- Master's degree in a related discipline is preferred; bachelor's degree will be considered with additional years of related experience
- 5+ years of related experience conducting fall studies and assessments supporting Veterans Health programs or initiatives inside/outside of hospitals
- Demonstrated research experience in veterans healthcare settings including patient observations and/or facility evaluations
- Demonstrated writing experience developing documentation and assessments for government review
- Expertise in more than one area related to patient falls such as: contributions, readiness and safety protocols, prevention measures, treatment plans, monitoring outcomes, and other related factors
- Abilities to develop and present information briefings
- Effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to clearly communicate and exchange information with teammates, stakeholders, and other personnel, as required
- Proficiency working across the Microsoft Office Suite
- Availability to support a hybrid on-site work schedule in Washington DC area
- Ability to support business travel based on program needs
