Who We Are:
Westminster, an upscale senior living community located in central Austin, is seeking an experienced, hospitality minded RN to work in our 5-start rated Health Care Center as a Weekend Supervisor. Successful candidates must have experience working in a high volume healthcare facility, hospital or similar venue.
Who You Are:
The RN Supervisor acts as the representative of Administration on the weekends (or off hours) for the Health Center. They are in charge of all aspects of the Arbour Health Center. This is an essential position of the administrative team. This position will supervise all Arbour staff on Saturday & Sunday.
Essential Job Functions:
- Represent administration for the HCC in their absence.
- Supervise all meals in the dining rooms for the entire length of mealtime.
- Perform Action/Quality Rounds at least 2 times per shift to check on residents and their rooms.
- Handles staff, resident and family issues.
- Perform Incident Reviews and follow up as needed.
- Answer all apartment calls while on shift.
- Supervise, support, assess and admit all admissions, transfers or discharges during hours of coverage.
- Assist and support floor nurses as needed.
- Provide relief staffing for floor nurse, if no other relief is available.
- Responsible for staffing while in-house, weekends and proactively.
Working hours: Friday 8 hours, Saturday 12 hours, Sunday 12 hours. (32 hours per week) This is a salaried, exempt position.
This position is on-call from 2PM on Friday - 6AM on Monday.
Qualifications:
- Must hold a current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Texas.
- Two years previous supervisory experience. Prefer geriatric experience.
- Must be capable of working independently and able to solve conflicts.
