This position serves our partners at Minnesota Management and Budget (MMB). MNIT MMB supports critical business operations for the State of Minnesota, including enterprise human resources and payroll, state employee insurance, and benefits administration. The team also provides the technical expertise necessary to manage the state budget and provide economic forecasts to policymakers.
This position will function as developers in an area of Data Warehousing/Business Intelligence. The position will be responsible for analysis, design, development, and implementation of the staging and multi-dimensional warehouse. Including support and maintenance of the EPM Data Warehouse, applications, and business intelligence modules.
This position is currently eligible for full-time telework:
- Telework for Minnesota IT Services allows an employee to perform work from a telework location and an employee may be required to be in the office based on business needs and other dependencies.
- Candidates residing outside of Minnesota and bordering states (Iowa, North Dakota, South Dakota, or Wisconsin) require additional review prior to telework approval upon becoming a finalist.
- Candidates located in Minnesota, or a bordering state, do not require additional review.
Candidates must clearly demonstrate all of the following qualifications in their resume:
Position requires a minimum of three (3) years of experience of analysis, design, development, and implementation in data warehousing/business intelligence.
Experience must include:

Extract, transform, and load (ETL) development experience using IBM DataStage
-
SQL and Oracle PL/SQL development experience
-
Report development experience
-
Ability to deliver effective verbal or written messages that facilitate a mutual understanding on both parties.
- Customer service skills that include active listening, empathy, and problem-solving.
A Master’s degree in Information Technology or a related field may substitute for three years of experience, OR a related Bachelor’s degree may substitute for two years, OR a related Associate’s may substitute for one year.

Experience with Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE)

Experience with Oracle BI Publisher

Experience with Activity Diagrams and Process Modeling

Experience gathering business requirements

Experience creating and testing design specifications

Knowledge of batch scheduling tools, i.e., Automic, Control-M, etc.

Knowledge of PeopleSoft Human Resources and Finance modules or data
