Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development and implementation of age-appropriate curriculum
- Provide support and assistance to children with special needs, including those with autism
- Assist in the supervision and care of preschool and toddler-aged children
- Help create a safe and nurturing environment for all children
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to ensure effective classroom management and behavior management strategies are implemented
- Assist with daily activities, including mealtime, naptime, and playtime
- Maintain open communication with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns that may arise
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree in early childhood education or related field preferred
- Previous experience working with children, particularly those with special needs, is highly desirable
- Knowledge of early childhood development principles and practices
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Patience, compassion, and a genuine love for working with children
Please note that this position is in a daycare setting, so flexibility in working hours may be required.
