Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Veterinary Receptionist/Tech Assistant to join our team. This role is pivotal in ensuring our clinic runs smoothly and efficiently, providing excellent customer service and technical support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet clients and their pets warmly, creating a positive and welcoming atmosphere.
- Answer phone calls and call back owners to follow up on patient care
- Assist with check-ins and check-outs, including processing payments and providing post-visit instructions.
- Maintain accurate patient records and update medical histories.
- Support veterinarians and technicians with various tasks, including restraining animals during examinations, administering medications, and performing routine lab work.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the reception area and exam rooms.
- Handle emergencies with calmness and efficiency, directing clients appropriately.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a veterinary clinic or animal care environment is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle and restrain animals safely and compassionately.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and handling multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Availability to work weekends and holidays is mandatory.
- Proficiency with veterinary software and basic computer skills.
