Job Description: Post-Doctoral Fellow
Innova Recovery Center’s Postdoctoral Fellowship offers an exciting opportunity for recent doctoral graduates to further develop their clinical skills in a dynamic and supportive environment. Under the supervision of a delegated licensed psychologist, the fellow will provide proficient, culturally responsive diagnostic assessment and evidence-based psychotherapy to a diverse population presenting with a wide range of clinical concerns. At the end of this training year, fellows will have met the requirements to apply for full licensure within the state of Texas.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct level-of-care assessments via structured clinical interviews to determine and propose an appropriate treatment program for patients.
- Provide comprehensive, evidence-based psychological services to patients across the lifespan with diverse cultural and clinical backgrounds within the outpatient program.
- Residential, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient treatment levels of care are available to match postdoctoral training goals and the needs of the company
- Complete thorough documentation of therapeutic activities promptly and in compliance with clinical documentation standards.
- Assist in the supervision and training of pre-doctoral practicum students (as appropriate).
- Participate in two hours of supervision weekly with a delegated supervisor.
- Participate in weekly case consultation meetings and didactic seminars.
- Develop and deliver a didactic lecture or workshop on a topic of your choice related to psychology or mental health.
- Collaborate with staff on program development and/or research opportunities (as appropriate/available).
- Other duties as assigned.
Competencies:
- Demonstrated clinical competency and proficiency in evidenced-based psychotherapy modalities, especially for trauma treatment.
- Ability to maintain compliance with licensing board rules, APA Code of Ethics, and DHS regulations and guidelines.
- Familiarity with diverse populations and cultural humility in clinical practice.
- Excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills
- Ability to maintain professionalism in all interactions with staff, patients, and business associates of Innova Recovery Center.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Completion of a doctoral degree (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) in Clinical or Counseling Psychology from an APA-accredited program before the start date.
- Completion of a pre-doctoral psychology internship program.
- Eligible for licensure as a psychologist in the state of Texas.
