Job Summary
Job Description
The primary duty of this position is to perform Computational Fluid Dynamics Analysis (CFD), via Finite Element Analysis (FEA), to determine the cooling system feasibility of new motor designs and/or performance of existing designs. In addition, the position may occasionally require the determination of other design goals such as strength, deformation, noise & vibration, and reliability characteristics. Develop/Modify 3D Models for use in FEA work. Some programming may be required to automate processes. Work with Project Manager and cross-functional teams to understand project goals, objectives and to work toward meeting stated deliverables and schedule deadlines. Prepare reports and presentations for customers, both internal/external. Create new component and assembly drawings per established Standards and Guidelines when required. Part-time telecommuting is permitted.
Job Requirements:
Master’s degree or the foreign academic equivalent of Mechanical Engineering and two (2) years of experience in an engineering occupation. The required experience must include:

2 years of experience in Finite Element Analysis (FEA) or similar software;

2 years of experience with CFD & Thermal analysis;
-
2 years of experience working with 2D/3D CAD software;
-
1 year of programming experience;
-
1 year of experience using Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint);
-
1 year of experience with Report Writing; and,
-
Demonstrated knowledge of Mechanical Stress and Fatigue, Heat Transfer, and Noise and Vibration.
Any and all experience may be gained concurrently.
