Overview:
The 2nd shift Sr Technician, Production Set‐up & Maintenance provides technical support for all operations related to production.
Responsibilities:
Support the production line as needed:

Train Operators on new equipment and processes
-
Modify/install utilities as necessary to support equipment or fixture changes and Installations
-
Repair equipment/fixtures as requested by the equipment/fixture owner(s).

Work with support groups to troubleshoot and repair equipment.

Document new processes and create associated Work Instructions (WI) or Standard
-
Operating Procedures (SOPs) as needed.
Perform engineering process and equipment evaluations:

Perform equipment IQ/OQ
-
Perform equipment preventative maintenance.

Coordinate calibration and preventative maintenance schedules to minimize impact on production flow.

Work with engineers on process development projects.
-
Execute test protocols, generate data, and document appropriately.
Understand and use Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP):

Help to maintain workplace safety.
-
Provide feedback to improve manufacturing tools and assembly instructions.

Maintain proper engineering documentation for all design, testing, and process development activities.
Maintain good verbal and written communication skills:
-
Update LHRs and MPIs to reflect current processes.
-
Update lab notebook with test results, invention disclosures, etc.
Support other duties that may be assigned on an individual basis.
Qualifications:
- HS diploma and 2 to5 years related work experience in the medical device or pharmaceutical field, or Associates Degree and equivalent work experience.
- Practical experience with Excel and Word. Basic data entry and manipulation as well as written report generation.
- Strong written and verbal communications skills • Ability to apply safety requirements and specified by California’s Code of Regulations, Title 8, General Industry Safety Orders, including Control of Hazardous Energy, Compressed Gas Safety and Machinery and Machine Guarding
- Knowledge of use of hand‐tools.
- Basic proficiency with computers and basic use of the Windows operating system environment, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook is required.
- May oversee the work of Operators on a project basis.
- Assist Production Supervisor, Production Leads, and Manufacturing Engineers when requested.

Pay / Compensation
The expected pre-tax pay rate for this position is $27.11 - $40.67 per hour
Actual pay may fluctuate outside of the range depending on skills, education, experience, job-related knowledge and location.
