Senior Accountant

Primary Responsibilities
Fixed Asset Management:
- Manage the capitalization process in compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
- Maintain the fixed asset roll forward schedules, understand the complexity of industry standards.
- Collaborate with inventory team to conduct the regular physical inventories and reconcile discrepancies.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP/IFRS and company policies regarding depreciation methods and schedules.
- Provide analysis and explanations of variances related to fixed assets.
- Understanding Lease Accounting (ASC842) and prepare Ad Hoc amortization schedule when assigned.
- Assist in the preparation of audit schedules and respond to auditor inquiries regarding fixed assets.
- Assist Corporate Controller with the Al Volume Tax budget and related audits.
Project Management
- Collaborate with project managers to track and manage capital projects.
- Ensure timely capitalization of completed projects and accurate recording of project costs.
- Provide financial insights and support for decision-making related to capital investments.
General Accounting
- Ensure accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions.
- Familiar with ASC606 and post journal entries accordingly.
- Reconcile assigned accounts and resolve discrepancies to ensue accuracy in financial reporting
- Prepare monthly Balance Sheet and Cash flow statements.
- Analyze Days Outstanding Sales (DOS), Days Payable Sales (DPS).
- Provide guidance and knowledge to junior accounting staff.
- Act as a subject matter expert on accounting principles and practices, offering insights and recommendations to support business initiatives.
Internal Controls and Compliances:
- Assist Corporate Controller to develop and implement effective internal controls.
- Ensure PO processes and disbursements are compliance with company policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting preferred, CPA a plus
- Minimum of 5-7 years of accounting experience, prefer at least 3 years as a Staff Accountant.
- Experience in the telecommunications or FTTH industry is highly desirable,
- Strong knowledge of GAAP/IFRS.
- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP)
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving.
- Ability to manage workload to meet strict deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.
