Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Lead Machinist. The ideal candidate will be organized, detail-oriented, and eager to contribute to our commitment to excellence in machining. Responsibilities:
- Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of machinists, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
- Precision Machining: Operate and oversee vertical and horizontal mills, as well as a Mazak lathe, to produce high-quality aerospace parts.
- Organization: Ensure the efficient flow of production by organizing and prioritizing machining tasks.
- Quality Control: Conduct thorough inspections to guarantee the precision and quality of machined parts.
- Learning and Development: Embrace opportunities for learning and skill development. Eventually, contribute to the programming of machining equipment.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments to meet project deadlines and customer requirements.
- Safety: Adhere to and enforce safety protocols to maintain a secure working environment.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in precision machining, with a proven track record of leadership.
- Skills: Proficient in operating vertical and horizontal mills, as well as Mazak lathe. Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail with a focus on producing high-quality, precise components.
- Organization: Strong organizational skills to manage workflow efficiently.
- Adaptability: Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies, with a future goal of programming machining equipment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
