About LETC’s employment programs:
Employment and other opportunities for meaningful engagement for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) are woefully scarce, with estimates of up to 80% of which do not have a paid job in the community. People with a disability are more than 3x’s less likely to be employed compared to those without a disability. The value of work extends beyond a paycheck, resulting in increased self-esteem, sense of purpose and identity, strengthened social networks, and is a pathway from dependence to independence.
Our passionate team of employment specialists help individuals with disabilities overcome the barriers to employment and help our participants achieve competitive, integrated employment in the areas they prefer. At LETC’s employment program, we make dreams comes true!
