Lead Installer
Job Description :
Our company is in search of a self-directed and experienced Lead Installer to help execute a variety of architectural projects. The successful candidate will have a broad range of hands-on experience both in a shop environment and on site, leading one to four employees doing millwork installation on-site. This candidate will report to the shop Foreman, and they will be responsible for the accurate and effective installation of kitchen cabinets, custom built-ins, moldings, etc. along with other tasks.
These tasks include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Dry fitting of projects in the shop for quality control and pack-out.
- Overseeing loading and unloading of project materials into the truck.
- Planning and assembling the appropriate kit of tools and hardware for each installation.
- Leading other installers on site and ensuring good work and safe material handling.
- Communicating directly with the shop foreman for on-site needs.
- Communicating with clients and other third parties on-site
- Managing client punch list and seeing job through final client sign off.
- Documenting completed work.
- Some in-shop fabrication work as needed.
The appropriate candidate will have strong communication skills and a solid work ethic. Candidates must have a teamwork mentality and should be experienced and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements:
- Must have at least 3 years in fine woodworking environment such as furniture/millwork/cabinetry.
- Experience with on-site installation.
- Strong ability and desire to learn.
- Strong understanding of all Shop Standards.
- Patience and attention to detail.
- Commitment to excellence and quality of work.
- Emphasis on shop safety, organization, and cleanliness.
- Understanding of math and measurements.
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
- Mechanical/technical aptitude is a must.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule and perform overtime as needed.
- Sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines under pressure and maintain a positive attitude.
