Position Summary
The Agent III Logistics sits within the Operations Department and reports to the Account Manager. The Agent III Logistics is responsible for coordinating various tasks within the freight forwarding scope of work.
Position Responsibilities
The Agent III Logistics is responsible and accountable for (but not limited to) the following:

Has knowledge and understanding of AES filing requirements.

Review shipping requirements and identify the most cost-effective methods

Ensure documentation is accurately processed, distributed and released to carrier, customers and agents in a timely manner.

Liaising with PFS offices, agents, contractors, third parties and clients in USA and overseas

Communicate with overseas agents to ensure proper pre-alerts and documentation.

Notify clients on statues of shipment and maintain proactive communication with clients

Establish and maintain professional relationships with export carriers, transportation agencies and sales.

Source methods of transportation and create quotes for the customer. Including out of gauge and oversized cargo.

Provide best-in-class freight forwarding and logistics services at all times.

Ensure the proper and timely billing of customers.

Act as a Mentor to entry level agents’ level 1 and 2 and provide training as required

Provide back-up support to the Team Lead/ Supervisor during their absence
Selection Criteria – Essential
-
Minimum 5 years’ previous experience as an Air & Ocean Export Agent

Dangerous Goods IATA/IMDG/DOT highly desirable
-
Advanced negotiation and relationship skills

Positive and professional attitude

Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite

High attention to detail and strong planning and organizing skills

Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
-
Ability to work autonomously and within a team environment

High School Diploma required
