KAMO Power, located in Vinita, Oklahoma is in search of an Network Operations Analyst I. The work location will be KAMO’s Vinita Headquarters. KAMO offers an exceptional compensation and benefits package including 100% paid employee medical coverage and employer base contribution 401K plan.
The Network Operations Analyst is responsible for monitoring a complex regional transport system and assist with customer service needs from the Network Operation Center. This position will analyze performance degradations, conditions, alarms and events. Position will also open trouble tickets and coordinate test and repair activities of appropriate internal or third-party personnel to ensure a timely resolution of all issues.
Work is performed in shifts within a 24 x 7 environment with critical uptime requirements. These positions work a rotating schedule, requiring candidates to be able to work any shift, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Ideal candidates should possess a basic understanding of data network and telecommunication theories that include: MPLS, DWDM and SONET architectures, layer 3 routing, and OSI protocols. Outside fiber/telecommunication plant experience a plus. Candidates should also be able to work independently and be very skilled at analyzing and troubleshooting Ethernet, IP, MPLS, SONET, TDM and DWDM services and equipment.
A Bachelor’s Degree in networking, Telecommunications, IT or related computer science field is required. Equivalent industry experience may potentially be considered toward substitution of degree requirements. Requires zero (0) to three (3) years of experience designing, managing and provisioning telecommunication networks involving IP, MPLS, DWDM, SONET and Ethernet services.
