Description:
The AV Field Engineer - Level 3 provides technical commissioning support for AV/IT systems in the field and requires advanced, detailed technical knowledge of audiovisual systems including networking, audio and video equipment and the associated software.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED.

Associate degree or equivalent experience is preferred.

Fluent in written and spoken English.

Have an AVIXA CTS certification.

6+ years’ previous experience providing technical AV/IT and/or field engineering support.

Have advanced proficiency with setting up and adjusting common audio and video equipment including video and audio-conferencing systems, including loading, testing, and editing control code and graphical user interface files from numerous AV manufacturers such as AMX, Crestron, Extron, QSC, and others.

Be proficient with Crestron, Extron, and AMX programming languages, and a working knowledge of Python, HTML, C#Pro, or similar types of programming languages, and digital communications protocols such as IP, RS232, RS485, and all forms of USB, and be experienced with digital signal processors such as Biamp, BSS, Crestron, Extron, and QSC

Must have advanced proficiency configuring wired and wireless TCP/IP networks.

Excellent communication, customer service and organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to meet deadlines and multi-task are all required.

Projects vary in length and locations. Occasionally, jobs may be outside of the local area requiring overnight travel and stays that could range from one night to several nights away.
