The Hygiene Lead is responsible for administrative tasks as well as all the responsibilities associated with being a hygienist. Most of your time will be spent seeing your own patients with an average of 5 hours spent on administrative tasks weekly. While this is a leadership position, and you will work closely with the hygiene team, doctors and business manager, your main priority is patient care.
Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Oversee a team of 5+ full-time hygienists, fostering a culture of teamwork.
- Train and onboard new hygienists; collaborate with doctors on team initiatives.
- Perform weekly chart audits and manage downtime responsibilities.
- Work with the clinical director on quarterly updates to onboarding documents.
- Oversee research on oral hygiene products.
Requirements for the position:
- At least 1 year of leadership and training experience.
- At least 3 years of recent dental hygienist experience.
- Flexibility to adjust schedule for patient demand.
- Must be able to administer local.
- Familiarity with Eaglesoft is a plus.
- Strong focus on patient education and time management.
