Job Summary
Production Operators operate various machines and utilize hand tools to build seat components for vehicles. Production Assembly Operators cycle through an established rotation of tasks within a workday. Additional tasks may include rework, performing basic maintenance and keeping workstations clean, among others.
Key Responsibilities of Production Operators
- Meet process, quality, and time requirements of each operation.
- Adhere to all plant safety policies.
- Perform maintenance, safety checks, sensor checks and clean line machine equipment.
- Use Safety and Preventative Maintenance to ensure equipment operates within safety specifications.
- Conduct inspections as required by operation instructions, quality alerts, inspections, first off/ lot control and certification logs.
- Use checking aids/ quality fixtures to monitor quality checks.
- Advise Maintenance Technicians on machine complications.
- Provide coaching and guidance to new Assembly Operators as requested by the Supervisor or Team Leader.
