Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a variety of trucks, including tractor-trailers, dump trucks, tankers, roll-off trucks, and forklifts
- Follow assigned routes and schedules to ensure timely delivery
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption
- Report any incidents or mechanical issues to the appropriate personnel
- Assist with general maintenance and repairs of vehicles as needed
Requirements:
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with the appropriate endorsements
- Proven experience as a truck driver or delivery driver
- Knowledge of various truck types and their specific operation requirements (e.g., tractor-trailer, dump truck, tanker)
- Familiarity with automotive repair and maintenance procedures is a plus
- Ability to safely operate forklifts and other loading/unloading equipment
- Excellent driving record with no major violations or accidents
- Strong communication skills and ability to interact professionally with customers and colleagues
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Physical stamina and strength to handle heavy loads and perform manual labor as required
