HEALTHCARE RECRUITER (EXPERIENCED)
RECRUIT PHYSICIANS, NURSE PRACTITIONERS, PHYSICIAN ASSISTANTS, NURSES, AND ALLIED HEALTH PROFESSIONALS
We are a small, privately-owned healthcare recruitment firm based in Southwest Florida. Our services include recruitment and permanentplacement of physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, and allied health professionals. Our clients are in small and large metropolitans throughout the country, and range in size from small, independently owned practices to large hospital systems.
We are growing and in search of an additional EXPERIENCED HEALTHCARE RECRUITER to help our clients accomplish their hiring objectives quickly and efficiently. At least two years of prior experience as a healthcare recruiter is required to be considered for this position.
Candidates must demonstrate a record of previous success recruiting healthcare professionals. Experience sourcing passive/cold candidates and contacting as many as possible each day an absolute requirement. Success in this position requires aggressively sourcing passive candidates. We do not rely on incoming applications to recruit for our clients. Since this position is remote, self-motivation/self-management is also an absolute requirement. Experienced, focused, self-motivated & managed, successful healthcare recruiters can earn in excess of $100,000 per year.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Use all available resources (including LinkedIn, social media, and niche resume databases) to source candidates.
- Review online portfolios and resumes to pre-screen candidates.
- Compose and send messages and conduct phone calls to potential candidates.
- Create and update candidate records in our custom-built Salesforce ATS.
- Develop a network of potential candidates and industry professionals.
- Seek out candidate referrals and client business development opportunities in every candidate and client interaction.
- Other responsibilities beyond those listed above.
OTHER POSITION DETAILS:
- The Healthcare Recruiter position is an exempt, full-time position.
- Required workdays are Monday - Friday; however, because our candidates and clients work and live in all US time zones, some evening and weekend availability is required. Timely responses to candidate inquiries, job applications, and client outreaches are critical to maximizing financial success in this role.
- Candidates must be based in the Eastern or Central time zone.
- A computer or laptop with necessary hardware and software will be provided.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- A minimum of two years of healthcare recruiting experience is required. Because we are a small company with limited time and resources for training, we are unable to consider candidates who do not possess prior experience recruiting physicians and advanced practice providers.
- Candidates must possess exceptional verbal and written communication skills as they relate to grammar and spelling. Skills testing will be conducted prior to extending an offer of employment.
- Familiarity with healthcare terminology as it relates to medical disciplines, specialties and subspecialties, and medical procedures is required.
- Organized and capable of balancing dozens of active candidates and job requisitions.
- Experience using social media networks and resume databases to source candidates.
- Comfort talking extensively on the phone daily.
- Highly proficient with Microsoft Office programs including Outlook, Excel, Word, OneNote, and Teams.
- Experience building advance search strings using Boolean search.
- Work independently while meeting sourcing, recruiting, and candidate send-out and placement benchmarks.
- 2- or 4-year college degree in business, communications, or healthcare-related field is strongly preferred.
- The Healthcare Recruiter must have a dedicated office, room, or space that is completely free of distractions, noise, and interruptions, as this position necessitates substantial time on the phone and in virtual meetings with both candidates and clients.
- Because this position requires daily virtual meetings, a reliable high-speed internet connection is required.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
- The Healthcare Recruiter compensation structure includes a base salary + commission on placements, plus an opportunity to earn an annual bonus if preestablished benchmarks are met.
- Commission may be earned immediately upon hire.
- Health insurance, with 50% of employee's premium paid by employer (up to $500/mo.). NOTE: Health insurance may or may not be offered in 2025; coverage TBD.
- Paid time off (includes sick time, personal time, and vacation time): 80 hours per year, plus six paid holidays.
- Retirement plan with up-to 3% company match: Employees can make contributions immediately; company match begins after 90 days of employment.
