Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced IT Support professional to join our team. As an IT Support, you will be responsible for providing technical assistance and support to our employees. Your role will involve installations, repair, upgrades and backups of software and hardware applications and preventative maintenance of personal computers and related systems. upgrades and backups of software and hardware applications.
Responsibilities:
· Deploy, configure, maintain and troubleshoot local area network hardware, software, and telecommunication services such as personal computers and their peripherals, phones, system software and applications, printers and print servers, servers, hubs, routers, switches and cabling.
· Provide technical assistance, support and training to users for system and network usage.
· Respond to user inquiries concerning systems operation and diagnoses system hardware, software, and operator problems.
· Answer, evaluate, and prioritize incoming telephone, voice mail, e-mail and in-person requests for assistance from users experiencing problems with hardware, software, networking, and other computer-related technologies.
· Assist with establishing and maintaining network users, user environment, directory structures, rights, policies, network printing and security for networks being installed.
· Complete, maintain, and process pertinent paperwork, records, and documentation for support activities.
· Coordinate activities with Director of Information Systems and provides updates, status, and completion information.
· Analyze support activity, contribute toward the creation and the ongoing maintenance of user-support policies and procedures, and make recommendations for changes in support procedures and systems.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a similar IT support role
- Strong knowledge of operating systems such as Windows
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Solid understanding of computer hardware components
- Familiarity with Windows Server environments
- Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues effectively
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
