As a Safety Manager at Florida Atlantic Ironworks, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety and well-being of all personnel on our construction sites. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring safety protocols, procedures, and training programs to mitigate risks and promote a culture of safety throughout the organization.
There is a 20%+ possible travel.
Key Responsibilities:

Conduct regular inspections and audits of construction sites to identify potential hazards, unsafe practices, and compliance issues.

Collaborate with project managers, site supervisors, and subcontractors to address safety concerns and implement corrective actions as needed.

Provide guidance and training to employees on safety procedures, equipment usage, and emergency response protocols.

Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine root causes and develop strategies for prevention.

Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, training sessions, and compliance documentation.

Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies to continuously improve safety practices.

Act as a liaison with regulatory agencies, contractors, and clients regarding safety matters and compliance requirements.

Participate in pre-construction meetings, safety orientations, and project planning to ensure safety considerations are integrated into all phases of construction.

Foster a positive safety culture by promoting awareness, accountability, and participation among all employees.

Provide safety training as needed.
Qualifications:
Required:
5 to 10 years of progressive experience
OSHA 500 Trainer
Proven experience as a safety manager or similar role in the construction industry.
In-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety standards.
Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and safety management software.
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to various construction sites.
This role requires bilingual for Spanish / English.

Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety, construction management, or related field.
Certified trainer in fall protection.
