Candidates should possess a high degree of technical competency and the ability to work equally independently and as part of a team. This position will include information systems data and security consulting and special project work as well.
Requirements include:
- BA or BS in information technology (IT), accounting or equivalent
- Five plus years of experience in public accounting or internal audit
- IT Control Compliance testing experience required (software development testing or QA testing will not be considered equivalent)
- IT audit, risk or security certification preferred, but not required
- IT Audit and SOX or JSOX experience preferred, but not required
- Understanding of how to analyze organizations’ processes and IT systems
- In-depth understanding of internal controls, including business process, application, and IT controls
- Experience auditing IT processes and IT systems against regulations, standards and best practices
- Skill in evaluating processes, risks and controls
- Highly effective verbal and written communication skills
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Solid analytical skills and attention to detail
- Comfort with asking questions to get answers
- Ability to make progress in ill-defined and unclear projects
- Rich critical thinking skills
- Enjoys challenges and can persevere
- Ability to take direction and apply to different situations
- Passion and commitment to providing quality client service
Job Functions May Include:
- Planning, executing and maintaining audit compliance testing including, but not limited to, SOX or JSOX
- Detection of what and how to improve business and IT processes and reduce risk
- Supervising team members on audit projects
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices
- Identification and implementation of IT processes improvements
- Performance of internal control and risk assessments
- Facilitation of internal and client meetings
- Development of thorough documentation and deliverables
- Participation in training
